Enjoy the marvellous bike trails by the River Saar, walk up to the viewpoints and marvel at fantastic panorama's. Discover Saarburg – the Saar’s "Little-Venice" and visit the castle before reaching the ancient Roman town of Treves. Visiting the emperor’s thermea, the Porta Nigra and the historical Old-Town is an absolute must!
Through the flat landscape you will reach green vineyards and enjoy Traben-Trarbach, Zell and Bernkastel-Kues by the Moselle. Further highlights of your bike trip will be enjoyable transfers on the sundeck of your ship, plus a short trip to the castle of Eltz. The last stage of your trip will be to Koblenz with it's "Deutsches Eck" where the Moselle and Rhine rivers meet.
Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1- Individual journey to Saarburg
Welcome on board, embarkation starts at 4.00 pm.
Day 2 - Saarburg-Saar river bend – Trier/Konz, approx. 35 km
After breakfast the first cycle tour from Saarburg to the Saar river bend starts where the river loops back by almost 360°. Continue to Igeler column, at Wasserbillig in Luxemburg. In the afternoon you reach Trier or Konz, where the boat is waiting for you. Join the guided city tour of Trier.
Day 3 - Konz / Trier-Piesport, approx. 50 km
After breakfast you cycle via Neumagen-Dhron to Piesport. This quaint village is framed by vineyards, forests and meadows and reputedly is the largest wine-growing community of theMoselle-Saar-Ruver region.
Day 4 - Piesport-Bernkastel-Kues, approx. 20 km
A rather short tour to Bernkastel-Kues where you may enjoy the flair of the medieval market square surrounded by half-timbered houses. In the afternoon a visit to the largest wine-grower cooperative along the Moselle.
Day 5 - Bernkastel-Kues–Traben Trarbach-Zell, approx. 40 km
Idyllic Traben Trarbach and the largest vineyard town of the Zell area.
Day 6– Zell-Cochem, approx. 35 km
Perfectly preserved historic old town of Beilstein the "Sleeping Beauty on Moselle“. Join the boat again in Cochem with its fortress and quaint half-timbered houses.
Day 7 - Cochem-Koblenz, approx. 40 km
Cycle tour into Eltztal valley where we walk up to the fortress. In Alken, one of the oldest towns on Moselle, join the boat again and transfer to Koblenz.
Day 8 – individual journey home
After breakfast the tour is completed, say farewell and start your joureny home or stay for some extra days.

MS Patria - 3 star
MS Patria is a cosy river ship with restaurant, saloon (air-conditioned) and sun deck. It has a length of 68 m, a breadth of 7, 70 m and space for 66 guests. There are 15 cabins on the Main deck, and a further 18 cabins on the Promenade deck. The cabins are twin-bedded, with a size of 9 m². Each cabin has a window (which can be opened on Promenade deck only), shower/toilet and air-conditioning. Good and simple fare is awaiting you on board.
Rating: Easy
Mostly paved cycle paths along the rivers, with a few small hills; Some public roads in the towns; suitable for novice cyclists, families, and experienced cyclists alike.
Airport / Transfers
The nearest international airport is Frankfurt, with regular rail transfers available directly from the terminal (75 minutes). These are available at approx. $55.00 one way.
